Golf trips

Your golf trip's home base in La Quinta

15 public and resort courses within about 20 minutes — Indian Wells Golf Resort is 6 minutes away, PGA WEST 12. Then everyone comes back to the same private estate.

Play 36 in the desert, finish at the fire pit

The Coachella Valley is one of the great golf destinations, and La Quinta sits right in the middle of it. Tee off at PGA WEST in the morning, squeeze in a twilight nine, and skip the hotel lobby altogether: the whole group stays together at one private address, with the Santa Rosa Mountains behind the lawn.

When the round is over there is a 39,000-gallon pool and two jacuzzis to recover in, a five-hole putting green to settle the bets, a fire pit for the post-mortem, and two bars, a sports bar and a poker table for the evening. Two full kitchens, a Viking catering oven and an outdoor grill mean nobody has to agree on a restaurant.

What golf groups say

“Just came back from a week at The Dupont Estate Resort. We are a golf group of 50 plus year old guys mostly from the East coast who have been going away for 25+ years on an annual bro golf trip, and this is the nicest place we have ever been to. … Even though it was 100 degrees the pool was nice cool and refreshing.”

— Desert Oasis

“I recently organized a Palm Springs area golf outing for 8 guys, and we wanted a place where we could spread out and do our own cooking after a full day of golf. The Dupont Estate was perfect … very nicely appointed, and I would highly recommend it.”

— One of a kind place
